Plasma miRNA levels in patients with polymyositis/dermatomyositis before and after treatment. Plasma samples of patients with polymyositis (P) and dermatomyositis (D) were taken before and after treatment and analyzed by miRNA microarray; differentially expressed miRNAs were selected based on at least twofold change between paired samples taken before and after therapy, and a heat map was constructed using log2 fold change values (blue, the lowest, and red, the highest). miRNAs are indicated on the left; D01–D04: DM patients; P01–P04: PM patients
